Course Overview

The excellent maternal emergency course is specifically designed to empower emergency medicine trainees with the essential knowledge and skills required to effectively manage and navigate through critical obstetric & gynaecological emergency scenarios. 

This comprehensive course addresses a range of life-threatening emergencies commonly encountered in the emergency department. 

  1. Six simulations will be undertaken on the day:
  2. Ruptured ectopic pregnancy
  3. Cervical shock
  4. Pre-eclampsia
  5. Resuscitative hysterectomy
  6. Precipitous delivery
  7. Post partum haemorrhage

Who will benefit:

The course is for East Midlands acute care trainees.

DREEAM, A Floor, West Block, QMC Campus, Derby Road, Nottingham. NG7 2UH

Start and finish times:

08:30 – 16:15 (breaks built into the course timetable)

Enrollment to the online course on the Moodle platform will be released 4-weeks prior to the face-to-face date, and valid for 365 days.
