Course Overview
This exciting three-day course is designed to teach community healthcare staff how to effectively manage patients within the community setting, enabling early intervention and a proactive approach to care.
Day one will cover the following topics:
- A-E assessment & observations
- History taking & red flags
- Acute Kidney Injury
- CVA & TIA
- Delirium & mental health
- Palliative Care
- Communication & effective handover
Day two will primarily focus on the principles of history taking, head, neck and limb examination and wound assessment.
Day three participants will have the opportunity to showcase their newly learnt knowledge and skills in various simulated scenarios.

The course is aimed at community healthcare providers, both registered and non-registered that require patient assessment skills.

DREEAM Department, A Floor, West Block, QMC Campus, Derby Road, Nottingham, NG7 2UH.
Start & finish times:
Registration at 08:00 with a start time of 08:30 | Finish time at 16:00 | Breaks built into the course timetable.
